Ready, steady...Grow!

Every year I feel the need to grow edible things in the garden and every year I fail miserably, I am probably the worlds worst gardner. I can plant Courgettes which are suppose to produces zillions of fruit and maybe get one weedy little thing.

This year I have decided to grow herbs on the window sills as I stand more of a chance keeping them alive and we do use an awful lot of herbs so it's an investment in our future cooking! So I spent yesterday in the garden re-potting some supermarket herbs and sewing the seeds of other ones we use a lot that we can't buy ready grown. I just need to get some sage and I'm sorted. The only problem is I'm growing more herbs than I have room for on the kitchen window sill so I have half there and half in the bedroom. At least they look pretty!

Time to retire an old friend.

5 years ago my best friend bought me a pair of Nick and Nora PJ's, they're ace. They have I love Lucy in the chocolate factory. Better still they are worn by Lorelai Gilmore in the first season of the Gilmore girls.

Last night when I was putting them on I noticed that they'd frayed on the elbow. Now I'm rather sad at the thought of getting rid of them as I had to get rid of my other favourite pair last year (gnomes travelling the world) so I'm running out of non winter themed ones which is a shame. I do have lots of pairs of wonderful Christmas/winter themed ones but very few normal ones.

What's a girl to do other than try and find some more!
